Before

This relatively small but very detailed model was in need of a serious overhaul. She has more deck details than some models three times her size. She was completely taken apart and the parts were cleaned and refinished where needed. Care was taken to get her as close to the original state as possible. One thing I never quite figured out was what her sails were made of. Some mysteries are simply not meant to be solved.

As mentioned previously, the model had to be completely disassembled and some parts that were beyond salvaging or missing, were replaced while trying to match them in appearance to the original parts. Some bare-wood parts such as the spars where stained while the hull got a fresh coat of paint.

The images here show the completed restoration. Sails and rigging where beyond salvaging and a new set of sails and rigging was created.
